The Penrith Panthers have gone back to back Premierships, defeating Parramatta 28-12 in Sunday nights Grand Final.
Penrith’s dominant first half was all they needed to set up the win, scoring the only three tries to set up an 18-0 half time lead.
After Brian To’o scored the first try of the second half, Penrith were in the box seat. Before Dylan Edwards was the last defender between Simenson and the try line and he brought him down with a magnificent defensive tackle. Then, Charlie Staines all but wrapped up the title for Penrith with a try in the 58th minute.
Parramatta pulled back two consilation try’s in the last five minutes of the game. But it was Penrith’s year again. As Dylan Edwards won the Clive Churchill Medal after an impressive performance, while Penrith are talking of the start of a dynasty following this back to back achievement.
