Melbourne will host the Brisbane Lions in tonights Semi Final at the MCG.
Melbourne lost the Qualifying Final to the Sydney Swans 91-69 last weekend. While Brisbane got over the line against Richmond 106-104, with Joe Daniher providing the match winner with a minute left to play.
It was announced due to family reasons Daniher would be unavailable for the Lions tonight, which could have significant impact on the Lions chances. Melbourne will also feel confident, as they had two massive wins over the Lions this season. They have also won their last four consecutive clashes with Brisbane, who will also need to break an eight year winless draught at the MCG if they are hoping to progress to a preliminary final.

Collingwood will host Fremantle in Saturday nights Semi Final at the MCG.
Collingwood were gallant, but went down to Geelong 78-72 in last weeks Qualifying Final, with Max Holmes belting home the match winner late. Fremantle fought a mountain to get over the Western Bulldogs, coming back from conceding the first six goals of the game and a 41-point deficit to defeat eliminate the Dogs 73-60.
It will be a hotly contested Semi Final, Fremantle have won three out of the last five clashes with Collingwood. So they will not feel the task is beyond them. The winner earns a Preliminary Final against the Sydney Swans.
