AFL round 11 tips and predictions

We have expert betting tips for AFL Round 11, kicking off tonight with the Sydney Swans and Richmond. 

Sydney Swans vs Richmond, Friday 19:50:

Sydney will host Richmond tonight at the SCG. Both sides sitting just inside the 8. Sydney in 7th with a 6-4 record. Richmond in 8th after winning the last four in a row, sitting currently at a 6-4 record.

In terms of head to head, Richmond have won three of the last five clashes with the Swans, but Sydney turned the tables and demolished Richmond by 45-points at the MCG last year, which will be fresh in both teams mind heading into tonight.

Brisbane will host GWS on Saturday at the Gabba. The Lions sitting second with an 8-2 record, suffering only their second loss of the season last week to the Hawks in an upset. GWS sitting in 14th at a 3-7 record, but got a win last week under new coach Mark McVeigh against the Eagles.

The Lions have won three of the last five clashes with GWS.

Geelong vs Adelaide, Saturday 13:45:

Geelong will host the Adelaide Crows on Saturday at GMHBA stadium. Geelong sit in 6th with a 6-4 record. Adelaide struggling in 15th at a 3-7 record.

Geelong have won three of the last five clashes with the Crows, with most recently Adelaide upsetting the Cats by 12-points in round one last year.

They are well on their way to defending their premership at this stage and it is hard to see who might possibly stop them. Fremantle sit in 4th with a 7-3 record, but have dropped their last two games to teams outside the top 8 currently.

WCE will host the Bulldogs at Optus Stadium on Saturday night. The Dogs sitting in 9th position with a 5-5 record and knocking on the door of the 8. The Eagles are the most struggling team in the competition, sitting 18th with a 1-9 record.

The Dogs have won three out of the last five clashes with WCE, including the last three consecutively.

Gold Coast will host Hawthorn at TIO Stadium. The Suns sit 12 with a 4-5 record. The Hawks just below in 13th with the same record. But Hawthorn will feel up and about after their upset win over the Brisbane Lions last week.

Hawthorn have won three of the last five clashes with the Suns, with the Suns ending the streak in round 11 last year with a 37-point win over the Hawks.

St Kilda vs North Melbourne, Sunday 13:10:

St Kilda will host North Melbourne on Sunday afternoon at Marvel Stadium. The Saints sitting just outside the top 4 on a 7-3 record and defying odds this year. North Melbourne sit 17th on a 1-9 record, and struggling to get through season 2022.

North Melbourne have won four of the last five clashes with St Kilda, with the Saints breaking the loosing streak in round 11 by 20-points last year.

Collingwood will host Carlton in possibly the biggest match up of the round, on Sunday at the MCG. The Blues defying odds under new coach Michael Voss to sit in 3rd at an 8-2 record. Collingwood sit 10th with a 5-5 record.

Collingwood defeated Carlton five times consecutively, before Carlton ended the streak in round 18 last year, with a 29-point win over the Pies.

Port Adelaide vs Essendon, Sunday 16:40:

Port Adelaide will host Essendon on Sunday evening at Adelaide Oval. Port made a recovery from their poor start to the season, currently sitting 11th with a 4-6 record. Essendon struggling in 16th with a 2-8 record.

Port have won three of the last five clashes with Essendon, including the last three consecutively. One would think only logically that will extend to four by Sunday night.
