Melbourne will take on Collingwood at the MCG tonight, in one of the biggest games of the season.
The second placed Melbourne with a 14-5 record, taking on the third placed Collingwood with the same record. Collingwood enter this clash after winning the ten consecutive games. Collingwood have won four out of the last five games against Melbourne.
Melbourne got back to winning ways last week with 46-point victory over Fremantle. Collingwood held off the challenge from Port Adelaide, to win game number 10 consecutively. Collingwood are the masters at winning close games.
There is no question that both these sides have plenty of firepower. This game could well determine which of these two sides will finish top two. Both sides level on points with three games to play. The one thing Melbourne need to do is capitalise on Collingwood’s close finishes and see if they can over run them.

Hawthorn come into this clash following a 12-point loss to St Kilda last weekend. The Suns held on in a thriller against West Coast by three-points.

The Bulldogs in 10th position with a 10-9 record, desperately trying to keep to keep their finals hopes alive. Taking on the sixth placed Fremantle with a 12-6 record. The Bulldogs have won three out of the last five clashes with the Dockers.
The Bulldogs are coming off a 28-point defeat to Geelong last week, in a game where they had a lot of control but were ultimately over run. Fremantle come in following a 46-point defeat to Melbourne.
This may well be the Bulldogs last chance to get in top 8 contention, if they drop this game it’ll be really tough in the last two games with results also needing to go their way. Fremantle can put themselves in a good position to finish top six.

Looking to make it 11 striaght wins this week, the Cats came from behind against the Bulldogs after a slow start to over run them by 28-points. The Saints held on to defeat Hawthorn by 12-points and climb back into the eight.

Port went down in a close thriller against Collingwood by six-points last week. While Richmond made a mammoth 42-point comeback against the Brisbane Lions to keep their season alive, winning by seven-points.
If Richmond win this game and results go their way, they will be inside the top eight at the end of this round.

If Carlton can cause an upset, it will as good as secure them a finals spot, something they could have done if not a bottom four side defeat last week.
