Southampton v Manchester United

Fresh from defeating their rivals Liverpool in the mid-week clash, Manchester United will be looking at making it 2 wins on the trot away to 11^th placed Southampton, who themselves had an away victory against the much more fancied Leicester City in their last match.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo silence the critics and help Manchester United, or will Southampton win to stay in touch with the early season pace setters?

Chelsea v Leicester City

Both teams are coming off a loss and will be eager to win this match.  In fact, Leicester City have not won a match this season and are already in the relegation zone, which means they need to start winning to climb out of the relegation zone.

Chelsea meanwhile has a start studded squad and much is expected of them and have so far not delivered.  Losing 3-0 to Leeds would have hurt them greatly.

Tip:  Tempting to back Chelsea but on their current form and with those odds, we think the draw is better value.

Brighton v Leeds United

Not sure how much to read into early season form but we have the 5^th placed team playing at home to the 3^rd placed team.  Both teams have had 2 wins and a draw.  Leeds defeated Chelsea in their previous match while Brighton is coming off a 2-0 away win against West Ham.

Both teams will be looking to continue their bright start to the season.  Nobody expected much from these teams before the season started so they may be the surprise team of this season.

Leeds United Jack Harrison has the equal most number of assists and will want to keep up his own form going into this match.

Manchester City v Crystal Palace

The defending champions and their star squad that would be the envy of any manager, are at home to the mid table Crystal Palace.

Erling Haaland, the new Manchester City signing is currently on 3 goals, and he will be opposed to Palace’s Wilfried Zaha who is also on 3 goals to start the year.

Tip:  As low as the odds for Manchester City are, and as competitive Crystal Palace are, we cannot see an upset here and we expect Manchester City to win comfortably.  They may be a good option to add to a multi bet.

Liverpool v Bournemouth

Title aspirants Liverpool have had a shocking start to this season by their high standards, with the defeat to Manchester United midweek.  They will be desperate to win this match.  They had had 2 draws in their other matches so they have started winless.

Bournemouth is one place above them on the ladder with their lone win placing them above Liverpool on the ladder.  Their 2 losses have come against the top 2 teams, Arsenal and Manchester City.
