Entry Drivers & Team
The 2022 Repco Bathurst 1000 is the 62nd running of the Great Race at the Mount Panorama Circuit on 9th October 2022.
Twenty-eight Supercars will do battle in the 2022 Repco Bathurst 1000, with 19 of them making history as the final Holdens to compete in the Great Race.
With Holden and the ZB Commodore being replaced by Chevrolet and the Camaro under the Gen3 rules in 2023, Holden makes its 60th and last appearance in the Bathurst 500/1000 with the goal of a 36th and final win in 2022.
Dick Johnson Racing celebrates the team’s 1000th Supercars race start at the 2022 Repco Bathurst 1000, becoming the first team to reach that milestone, while Craig Lowndes will become the first driver to make 300 rounds starts.
Schedule:
This year’s Repco Bathurst 1000 will return to a more traditional race start time.
The Mount Panorama enduro, which forms Race 30 of the championship, is scheduled to get underway at 11:15 local time/AEDT on Sunday October 9.
It comes after the 2021 edition, held in December, featured the latest start time ever of 12:15. That coincided with later sunsets in December versus traditional Bathurst dates in early October, which the event has now moved back to for this year.
The Top 10 Shootout remains a fixture, slated for 17:05 on Saturday (October 8), which is preceded by a 40-minute qualifying session on Friday (October 7) at 16:15.
Six one-hour practice sessions are spread out across the weekend, with two on each of Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Practice 2 and Practice 5 are co-driver dedicated sessions, while a 20-minute Warm Up will take place on Sunday at 08:00 ahead of the Great Race.
The Dunlop Super2 Series, Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia, Haltech V8 SuperUte Series, Toyota Gazoo Racing 86 Australia Series, and Heritage Revival feature as support categories. Gen3 will also have demonstrations over the course of the event.

The grid for the 2022 Repco Bathurst 1000 has been finalised with confirmation of the last vacant co-driver seat for the October 6-9 event.
A total of 28 cars will take part in next month’s Great Race, with Supercars recently confirming the Anderson Motorsport wildcard has been ruled out.
Brad Jones Racing held the key to the last enduro seat but has now locked in Jaxon Evans alongside Jack Smith.
That follows an evaluation day for Evans at Winton where he impressed, securing his spot in the #4 ZB Commodore.
Team 18 also recently announced Tyler Everingham as Scott Pye’s co-driver in the #20 ZB Commodore.
In other news, Craig Lowndes and Richie Stanaway will be the nominated primary drivers for their high-profile wildcards backed by Supercheap Auto and Boost Mobile respectively.
