We have expert betting tips for AFL Round 1o, kicking off tonight with the Carlton Football Club hosting the Sydney Swans. 

Carlton vs Sydney Swans,19:50 Friday

Carlton will host the Sydney Swans on Friday night at Marvel Stadium.

Carlton currently sitting on a 7-2 record and defying odds in season 2022, under new coach Michael Voss. Sydney right below them in 5th on a 6-3 record. It promises plenty.

Sydney have won three of the last five clashes with Carlton.

Carlton proved last week they can win without key forward Harry McKay with their impressive 30-point win over Greater Western Sydney. They will need to find a way to again tonight. But they have plenty of options up forward with Jesse Motlop’s wonderful debut, and will need Charlie Curnow firing. George Hewitt will also be facing his old side for the first time.

It seems a fairly even contest. Carlton as mentioned have proven they can win without McKay, they have momentum behind them, they should get the job done over Sydney in a close contest by 10-points.

Geelong vs Port Adelaide, 13:45 Saturday

Geelong will host Port Adelaide at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday. Port come into this match with a seemingly revitalised season, after losing their openning five games, they have won their last four games in a massive turnaround of form to only just sit outside the top 8.

Port have won three out of the last five clashes with Geelong, most recently defeating them in the qualifying final last year by 43-points. But, none of these wins have come at GMHBA.

The Cats are only sitting on a 5-4 record, with their spot in the 8 very much on the line.

Western Bulldogs vs Gold Coast, 13:45 Saturday

The Dogs will host the Suns in an interesting clash with the Suns at MARS stadium.

The Dogs fighting for their spot in the 8 after defeating Collingwood last Friday night.

The Suns have been a bit of a surprise package this year, especially with some of the teams they have beaten in their four wins to this point, such as Carlton, and Fremantle last week.

The Dogs have won four out of the last five clashes with the Gold Coast Suns, including the last three.

North Melbourne vs Melbourne, 16:35 Saturday

North Melbourne will host the nine-game undefeated, top of the table Melbourne on Saturday evening at Marvel Stadium.

Melbourne are the top of the league and the clear favourite to defend their drought breaking premiership, North have only one win on the board.

Melbourne have won three out of the last five clashes with North. There is no question why they are favourites to do so again tomorrow.

Adelaide vs St Kilda, Saturday 19:30

Adelaide will host St Kilda on Saturday night at Adelaide Oval.

The Saints looking to continue the form that currently sees them sitting in sixth, at a 6-3 record. Including their impressive come from behind victory over the Cats last week.

Adelaide have had the wood over St Kilda since 2011, with the Saints only win since then against Adelaide coming in round 7 2020.

One would expect the Saints will win tomorrow however.

Richmond will host Essendon in the Dreamtime match at the MCG. The Tigers looking to make it four wins on the trot and keep their spot in the eight. Essendon sitting on 16th with only two wins from nine games.

Richmond have won every clash against the Bombers since 2014.

GWS currently sit 15th on a 2-7 record, facing the bottom placed WCE, with a 1-8 record and coming off many heavy losses this season.

Hawthorn have won the last two clashes with the Lions, but Brisbane have still won three out of the last five clashes. We expect Brisbane will bounce back to winning form on Sunday against the Hawks.
