2022 Spanish Grand Prix preview

This years Spanish Grand Prix will be the 62nd edition of the particular Grand Prix, and it will be held on the 22nd of May in Montemelo at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. It’s round six of the 2022 Formula One World Championship.

The race will have 66 laps. The top seven drivers currently heading into the Spanish Grand Prix after the four world cup races so far are:

  1. Charles Leclerc from Ferrari, sitting on 104 points
  2. Max Verstappen from Red Bull, with 85 points
  3. Sergio Perez from Red Bull, currently on 66 points.
  4. George Russell from Mercedes, with 59 points
  5. Carlos Sainz from Ferrari, sitting on 53 points
  6. Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes, on 36 points
  7. Lando Norris from McLaren, on a similar score with 35 points

The Constructors top 4 standings currently are:

  1. Ferrari leading with 157 points
  2. Red Bull close to the leaders with 151 points
  3. Mercedes with 95 points
  4. McLaren sit in clear last with 46 points
